Living in Montreal can be difficult during wintertime. Montreal is known to be cold during the winter, so it can be challenging to dress well while keeping warm. To ease this winter season, Circle of Fashion McGill has compiled a jacket and winter boots guide that will keep you warm and cozy.
Aritzia: The super puff
Starting with winter jackets, and my personal favorite, The Super Puff is a classic winter coat that comes in various lengths and colors. Ranging from The Super Puff™ Long, to The Super Puff™ Shorty, you can buy this jacket for the coldest temperatures, and even the warmer winter days.

urban outfitters: Iets frans
Iets Frans, by Urban Outfitters, Recycled Puffer Jackets are another great option. It’s an affordable jacket made out of 100% recycled polyester and it comes in five different colors.

lululemon: the wunder puff
The Wunder Puff Long jacket is a water repellent winter jacket with interior pockets to hold items such as your phone and wallet. It has several cool features such as a drawcord around the waist to customize the fit and a removable hood.

Monki
To continue the puffer coat trend, Monki has a puffer coat with buttons, a shawl closure, and is also made from recycled polyester. The shawl keeps your neck warm, and gives the coat a unique look.

Uniqlo: the powder feel half down coat
The Powder Feel Half Down coat comes in four neutral shades. It has extra fabric around the neck so you don’t need to wear a scarf. The sleeves are also shirring inside to help block wind.

Nobis: She-Ra Legacy Ladies Parka
Although this jacket is more on the pricey side, it’s been said to be one of the warmest winter jackets on the market. The She-Ra Legacy Ladies Parka works with your body temperature to provide heat. It’s windproof, waterproof, and breathable. It also comes with a magnetic closure to keep you secure and warm. The coat includes a belt to wrap around your waist for a more elegant silhouette.

Ugg Classic Maxi Ultra Tall
Moving onto winter boots, Classic Maxi Ultra Tall Ugg Boots are boots that come with three different heights. You can unzip them to your preferred length, depending on the weather. For a more casual look, keep the lowest setting, and on the snowier days, add layers to make them taller to help prevent snow from getting in your boots.

With the choice of two neutral colors, style these fur lined 2976 Chelsea Boots with your favorite winter puffer. The timeless Doc DNA, with its slip resistant sole, visible stitching and comfortable insole.

Chloé x moon boots
On the pricier side, the Chloé x Moon boots is an iconic pair of winter boots. They are sustainably-oriented through the use of biodegradable sole, recycled laces, and lower impact leather.
They can be found on Moon Boot’s website and range from 696$ to 1,120$.
Varsila
Varsila Women’s Boot are waterproof winter boots that keep your feet warm in up to -30 degrees celsius temperature. The boot is also seam-sealed which keeps snow out of your boots.
They can be found on Pajar.com and are on sale for $120 CAD at time of writing, normal price is $200 CAD.
Verity shearling women’s boots
Verity Shearling Women’s Boot features a removable molded foam insole and Anti-slip Thermoplastic rubber outsole. Although they don’t look like it, they are also waterproof!
